Learn about our journey and how we foster innovation, collaboration, and growth, empowering individuals and businesses to thrive within our vibrant community.
The Morwell Innovation Centre officially opened in 2021 with support from the Victorian Government. Managed by Federation University — Gippsland’s sole higher education provider — it forms part of the Gippsland Technology Park alongside the Gippsland Enterprise Centre in Churchill. The Centre was established to provide a collaborative environment where education, industry, and the community unite to drive innovation and regional growth.
To be Gippsland’s leading destination for innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship — a place where ideas thrive, partnerships flourish, and opportunities shape a vibrant and sustainable future. We aim to empower people, businesses, and communities to embrace new technologies, drive growth, and make Gippsland a recognised centre for innovation and regional development.
The Morwell Innovation Centre is both a physical and virtual hub that connects people, projects, and possibilities.
We serve as a dynamic meeting point where ideas can grow, partnerships can form, and innovation can take shape. By fostering collaboration between business, education, and government, the Centre creates an environment where organisations and individuals can access the resources, expertise, and support they need to thrive.
