With a proud 150-year history, Federation University is Australia’s first regional, multi-sector university and a leader in education, research, and innovation. Its strong links with local industry and technology drive real-world outcomes across campuses in Ballarat, Berwick, Brisbane, the Wimmera, and Gippsland. Through initiatives like Hi-Tech Precinct Gippsland, the University continues to foster growth and opportunity across the region.

The $12 million transformation of Gippsland Tech School is integral to Hi-Tech Precinct Gippsland. It offers real world learning experiences for students through specialised STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) programs linked to local industry. The school is co-located with the new Morwell Innovation Centre to ensure students can directly connect with ideas, industry and skills innovation.

Latrobe City Council governs a vibrant region built on hard work, innovation, and community. As a key partner in Hi-Tech Precinct Gippsland, the Council plays a leading role in supporting infrastructure and economic development. Kernot Hall, its premier events venue, connects with the Gippsland Tech School and Morwell Innovation Centre to form a collaborative hub for growth and learning.

Building on over 85 years of experience, TAFE Gippsland provides practical training and career pathways for students across the region. With nine campuses, including Morwell, Traralgon, and Warragul, it offers opportunities that prepare learners for work and further study. Located within Hi-Tech Precinct Gippsland, TAFE Gippsland continues to inspire growth, innovation, and lifelong learning.
